You can hide controls from the extension.
Please refer to the below steps:
1. Click on the StoryXpress extension.
2. Click on Advance options and permissions.
3. Click the checkbox to hide controls.
4. Start recording.
Please note
Once you are done recording the video, you can click on the extension to stop the recording.
