This page details the differences between StoryXpress and Vidyard. Choosing the right video platform is critical for your business. We want you to have the information required to do so.

StoryXpress

StoryXpress is a video platform for high-performing teams. From sales and marketing to customer support, access tools for you and your teammates to create, upload, edit, analyse, manage & share videos. You won’t need any coding expertise to figure out how to use the platform.

vs

Vidyard

Vidyard is a video platform designed for virtual sales and marketing teams. The features are useful but pricey. The free plan lets you test a few of them, but with no free trial there is no way to try out the essential features, making the overall experience difficult, restrictive, and expensive.

Your business deserves a feature-rich yet cost-effective video platform

Vidyard offers a free plan, but it doesn’t have all the features you need. You can expect to pay remarkably more than what you’ll be paying with StoryXpress, doesn’t matter what plan you subscribe to. The plans for teams start at $300 per month, whereas similar (and feature-rich) plans by StoryXpress start at $8 per month.

Over time, these costs can add up and ultimately dig a deep hole in your pocket. Add to it the fact that, even after paying exorbitantly, you won’t have all the features & always available customer support. StoryXpress is the more feature-rich, cost-effective option & a customer obsessive tool — how important that factor is in your final decision is up to you.

Looking for Vidyard Alternatives?

Here are a few reasons to consider StoryXpress:

Cost-effective Solution

StoryXpress is a cost-effective alternative to Vidyard. The plans start at $8 per month going up to $159 per month as compared to Vidyard’s that start at $15 per month going up to $1250 per month, with same features. With StoryXpress, you pay less across all the plans while using the similar (or should we say better?) set of features.

Priority Support

If you seek priority support using Vidyard, you must be one of their highest-paying customers, paying equivalent of or more than $300 per month. That’s not the case with StoryXpress, where you get priority support even if you subscribe to the Individual plan for $8 per month.

No Restrictions

Vidyard is a very restrictive platform. You can’t record videos longer than 1 hour. Even if you subscribe to Vidyard’s most expensive Business plan and pay $1250 per month, you can embed up to 100 videos only. However, with StoryXpress, you can record as long a video as you please and may embed as many videos as you want.

Limited Editing Options

Using Vidyard, you can make quick edits by trimming the beginning or end of your video. But, that’s about it. You can’t crop the video frame or blur sensitive information, if recorded by mistake. Neither can you add intro-outro clips to your brand videos. You can do all of this using StoryXpress, though.

Custom Onboarding

If you are new to the world of videos and would like some hand-holding using Vidyard, you will be expected to get their Business plan worth $1250 per month. That’s not the case with StoryXpress, where we help you get started with the platform even if you subscribe to the Pro plan for $39 per month.

Integrations

StoryXpress seamlessly fits in your software stack and offers hassle-free integrations with leading SaaS products such as Pipedrive, ActiveCampaign, Calendly, CampaignMonitor, Freshsales, Sendinblue & more integrations created on-demand. If you use any of the above tools, you can’t integrate with Vidyard.

Video Chapters

With StoryXpress, you can segment your video into sections called chapters. This lets your viewers readily have more information about what’s coming next and allows them to replay selected sections of the video, without going through the entire video again. You can’t add chapters to your videos using Vidyard.

We’ve been very satisfied with the whole experience. There are similar tools, but the pricing here is better for light to moderate use, and you also get to customize the branding of your video player, which our previous tool didn’t.

Jeheen Mahmood Z

Since I switched to StoryXpress, with a lifetime license, it has replaced all other apps. On top of that, it is also providing insights and analytics that were not available even in other apps paid versions.

GeNienne S

I love using this product. The software is easy to use, easy to understand, easy to set up, and easy to share. My clients are WOW’d when they are able to watch a personalized video from me!
